A custom music box that plays any song makes for a deeply thoughtful and sentimental keepsake, though online ads claiming prices as low as “50 cents” are misleading clickbait. Real custom mechanical music boxes require precise craftsmanship to adapt a melody to a metal comb, while digital electronic modules allow you to play actual studio tracks. Genuine custom-engraved wooden boxes typically range from $20 to $150+ depending on whether you choose a pre-made popular tune or a specially arranged mechanical movement.
