Ukraine does not have an official Spotify Plaque purchase program available natively, meaning artists cannot buy them directly through a localized Spotify for Artists dashboard in Ukraine. Instead, Ukrainian musicians and fans rely on third-party custom plaque manufacturers, which typically cost between $20 to $100 USD (approximately ₴800 to ₴4,100 UAH), or they must qualify for Spotify’s official, complimentary milestone plaques for hitting 100 million streams.
Here is a complete guide to how Spotify plaques work in Ukraine, what they cost, and how to get one.
The Two Types of Spotify Plaques
When looking into Spotify plaques, it is important to distinguish between official industry milestones and custom memorabilia. Official Spotify Milestone Plaque Third-Party Custom Plaque Eligibility 100M+ streams on a single track or album Anyone (0 streams required) Official Price Free (Issued by Spotify to eligible artists) $20 – $100 USD (₴800 – ₴4,100 UAH) Customization Standardized Spotify corporate design Fully customizable (photos, custom text, colors) Where to Get Spotify for Artists invitation Etsy, local Ukrainian print shops, Amazon 1. Official Spotify Milestone Plaques (100M+ Streams)
For major Ukrainian artists, Spotify officially celebrates massive streaming milestones. When a song or album crosses 100 million, 1 billion, or multi-billion streams, Spotify manufactures an official physical plaque.
The Cost: $0 (Free). Spotify covers all manufacturing and shipping costs.
How it works: Once an artist’s track crosses the 100M threshold, a notification appears in their Spotify for Artists dashboard with a link to claim the award. 2. Third-Party Custom Plaques (For Fans & Indie Artists)
Because official plaques are locked behind millions of streams, a massive market for custom “Spotify Style” plaques has emerged. These are highly popular in Ukraine as gifts for music lovers or as motivational decor for independent artists. They are usually made of UV-printed acrylic or glass and feature a scannable Spotify Wave Code.
Local Ukrainian Print Shops: Many local laser-cutting and gift shops in Ukraine offer acrylic music plaques. Prices generally range from ₴500 to ₴1,500 UAH depending on the size and whether it includes a wooden LED light base.
International Platforms (Etsy / AliExpress): Ordering from international creators generally costs $15 to $50 USD, though shipping fees to Ukraine can add an extra $10 to $25 USD to the final price.
Beware of Scams
Many online websites pretend to be affiliated with Spotify and claim they can sell you an “official verified artist plaque” for $100 or $200. Spotify does not sell official streaming plaques. Any platform claiming to sell “verified” Spotify merchandise to lower-tier artists is a scam. If you are paying for it out of pocket, it is a novelty third-party item—which can still look beautiful, but carries no official industry weight.
