“Simple Gifts” is a classic 1848 Shaker hymn by Joseph Brackett that celebrates simplicity and humility. When reimagined as an 8-bit chiptune track using vintage hardware limitations like pulse waves and triangle basslines, the timeless melody transforms into a nostalgic 1980s video game-style electronic piece. This minimalist approach mirrors the hymn’s core message of finding beauty in basic structures.
