In 2017, K-pop icon G-Dragon released a haunting, alternative rock rendition of Elvis Presley’s classic ballad “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for a tribute project associated with Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film. Rather than a traditional smooth delivery, G-Dragon deconstructed the 1961 track with a lo-fi atmosphere, heavy vocal distortion, and a brooding piano melody that builds into a punk-infused climax.
